GPPi Fellow presents on EU Energy Policy
GPPi Fellow Andreas Goldthau presented at the Center for EU Enlargement Studies of Central European University (CEU), Budapest, on 4 November 2008. The event entitled “EU Energy Policy and Infrastructure Development: The Role of the Visegrad Countries” was organized by the CEU and the Friedrich Ebert Foundation.
During the event Goldthau presented a simple model outlining the Eurasian gas relations followed by more detailed account of this interaction. Goldthau drew conclusions from the model on conditions for a policy framework allowing for win-win situations as opposed to the prevalent zero-sum interactions. Goldthau’s fellow presenter, among other, was Jean-Arnold Vinois, European Commission, DG Energy and Transport, Head of the Energy Policy and Security of Supply Unit. Following the presentation, the presenters opened the floor to discussions led by audience questions.
